  2. How well did you know your partner before this activity? I’ve only seen my partner’s classmate introduction, other than that it’s all new to me.
  3. How well do you know them now? I’d say I know them a substantial amount now.
  4. Does this seem like a way to make new connections in a time of pandemic isolation? It is, almost like getting assigned seat partners in class but more pushed because this is an assignment. It’s a bit less natural but I think it’s still a good and easy method to make new friends.
  5. What is another way you can think of to make new connections in a time of pandemic isolation? On the top of my head, another way to make a connection right now is through gaming! Perhaps joining organizations and clubs online or getting a penpal.
  6. What platform did you use to communicate with your partner? How well did it work? Or not work? What other tool, or type of tool, might have been better? We used our phone numbers to communicate with one another. I find that the easiest because not everyone has a discord, snapchat or messenger though there is no “edit” option for the messages sent and it feels less flexible than other messaging apps. Probably discord could’ve been better since the class’ server is also on there.
  7. How did Padlet work for you? Was it easy to use? Did it communicate well? Can you think of another platform that might be better? I’ve used Padlet before in high school and I like its presentation and goal, though there are some minor details I had to work around here and there.
  8. What if, instead of meeting classmates, your goal was professional connections? How can you connect to people in your field in a time of pandemic isolation? I feel like a lot of zoom/video calls would happen very often in semi-big groups of about a dozen or two (a small class’ size). Emails and phone calls would constantly be sent back and forth as well. But if my job was to really have some serious connecting time with others I would get on a VR game and talk with them there- heck even Among Us would be a fun place to get to know others.
